On Friday may 18, 2007 after many months of planning we
opened the 2007 Dixie Confederation of Southern Chapters
Rally. We were blessed with wonderful weather for this event.
Friday evening began with registration and a meet and greet.
This was followed by a welcome and spaghetti dinner. After
dinner it was social time.
On Saturday morning, members attended breakfast at the fire
house. After breakfast there was a call to order, posting of
colors and all members were welcomed and recognized. This
was followed by the business meeting. The colors were then
retired.
At 11:45, the auction began, this was a great time for all. The
auctioneer, Rodney Thompson was wonderful.
After the auction, it was time for lunch.
Lunch was followed by the games. There were firemen games
which included battle of the bucket, engine pull and bucket
brigade. There were also biker games including keg roll,
needle in a hay stack, weave and figure 8, biker joust, redneck
horseshoes and a head toss. Each winner or winning team for
these games was awarded a plaque. Winners will be posted on
a separate page.
After the games ended it was social time.
On Sunday morning there was a prayer service and goodbyes
were said.
If you were not able to attend this year, you were sorely
missed and we hope to see you next year.
