Maryland 4 Takes the Grand Tour

On August 11, 2004  5 members of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club Maryland Chapter
4, David ‘’Bull’’ Hartnett, Charles Harding, Dusty ‘’ Troll’’ Cassidy, Gus ‘’ Monk’’ Bowling
and Mike Baker participated in the Red Knights International  Grand Tour. The group
visited all the Charles county Maryland Fire , EMS, ALS and Dive departments in
department order as best we could in one day. We traveled 278 miles in just under 11
hours that is 9 hours riding, 1 hour for lunch and 1 hour for wrenching.  my clutches
started slipping in Nanjemoy, my battery fried enroute to Benedict. Special thanks to
Dusty Cassidy for riding me Bi_ _ _ to Wal-mart to buy a new battery ( picture
enclosed) and Charles Harding for Wrenching on the old Shovel so it could make the
trip. We had beautiful weather all morning and had to rush a little after we stopped
for lunch at Capt. John’s Seafood Restaurant. We managed to finish the tour as
planned before the storm hit. A fun time was had by all with a lot of laughs, great food,
and camaraderie but best of all a great day trip with a lot of riding.
