What is "THE Dixie"?
The Dixie is an abbreviation of The Dixie Confederation of Southern
Chapters. It is a sectioned (by region) part of The Red Knights
International Motorcycle Club. The Dixie was formed in 2004 in Gulf
Shores, Alabama with an attendance of about 60 members. To allow
members of the Red Knights International Motorcycle club to have a
communication vehicle and an avenue to the International President via
Chapter President to State President to Regional president and ultimately
to the International President.
The International Rally is a week long business meeting. The Dixie
weekend was created to give members the information from the
International rally and a huge dose of fun. Many can’t devote an entire
week to the club in such a fashion so The Dixie fills the bill quite well!
It is a tool for the members to be better connected, chapters to share each
others events and so on.
Every weekend after Mothers Day the confederation meets in a State
belonging to the Confederation and experience a Rally we have named
"The Dixie”, a weekend event starting on Friday and ending Sunday
Morning. The first being held in New Orleans, Lousiana; the second Port
Aurthor, Texas and the third to be hosted by Maryland 4 in Solomons
Island, Maryland.
